The Architecture Challenge
Counsellor AI addresses the complex, high-stakes domain of international education. The primary challenge was architecting a centralized system to navigate university shortlisting (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ), admission requirements, and visa processes while maintaining a professional, expert "Counsellor" persona across distributed mobile and AI microservices.
The Engineering Solution
We engineered a high-performance Monorepo architecture consisting of a React Native mobile application with real-time UI streaming, a NestJS API gateway for session persistence and NDJSON piping, and a Python-based AI inference engine. Key features include deep PDF transcript extraction via PyMuPDF, scholarship mapping, and a seamless OAuth integration for Google and LinkedIn. Future enhancements include multi-agent RAG for real-time tuition tracking and voice-to-text interaction nodes.
